Bush walk

Katoomba is known for the adjacent rock formations and valeys. It does not have twin peaks...

... it does have the 3 sisters... I don't see it... I guess some one must have entered a state in which rocks have become even more attracting then sheep.

The area is in the Blue Mountains...

... it gets it name because of the blue haze... Femke feels sure it gets it name because it is so freaking cold up here.

We went for a bush walk, down the cliff. This can be done the (semi hard way - it isn't abseiling) by walking down a giant stairway down the cliffs.

Certainly not for the faint harted.

I am still puzzled by this sign.

If you might fall down, please don't drop on others???

In the bush you felt like a regular Indiana Jones.

We did not climb back to the top. We took a cable way (would also have been the easy way down).

One of the cable ways had a cool glass bottom.

And this is also where we found our first real wild life.

Not all koalas looked that huggable though.
